At HUNTER Design Studio, our approach is thoroughly inspired by each project’s location, specific needs, and each client’s personal story. Our focus is not just on delivering beautiful spaces but on creating an environment that seamlessly blends functionality with artistry, leaving a lasting impression.

The clients purchased a townhouse from a developer in 2020, which was newly renovated, but lacked the character and personalization they wanted. Hunter Design Studio was brought in to imbue the Primary Bedroom with a palette that expressed the client’s personality and a desire for a warm, fresh space, while adding necessary function and storage. The resulting new furniture, textiles, lighting, artwork, and objects were carefully chosen for their simplicity and texture. A linear floating desk was built along the windows for the client’s work-from-home needs. Additional storage was created, including cabinets with built-in

Shen Shu Acupuncture is a holistic acupuncture clinic near bustling Grand Central Station. When the client took over her office space, it was in need of major repair and an overall look and feel that communicated the ethos of her practice. Rooted in an integrative and personal approach, she is focused on healing, and therefore the space needed to communicate calmness and warmth. Vintage patinated mid-century furniture was selected, layered with rich textiles and artwork from her global travels. Her love for plants and botanicals added a quality of calmness and nature to the treatment rooms.

Located in a Classic Revival Upper West Side Landmark building, this apartment needed a renovation when originally purchased by the client. Her objective was to create a haven for herself; a place for her to be rooted. She wanted a space that reflected her personality, as well as showcase many of the antique pieces of furniture, artwork, and objects inherited from her mother and grandmother. This meant juxtaposing a lot of old and new, which created a very layered and highly personal space.
