ABOUT
In the heart of historic Covent Garden, the Nomad Hotel reclaims the former Bow Street Magistrates Court and Police Station, an impressive 19th century building where Oscar Wilde and the Kray Twins were tried. Reimagined as a 91-room luxury hotel with an impressive food and beverage program, the main objective was to create a strong tie between London and New York through design, culture, and cuisine, in order to link two distinct Nomad properties together.
A newly constructed atrium greenhouse connects two of the property’s buildings, where the signature fine-dining restaurant lives among lush planting and suspended Moroccan chandeliers. With an emphasis on cuisine, there are multiple venues including an intimate library, 3 bars, a nightclub, private dining spaces, and a grand ballroom inside the old Magistrate’s Court.
The English Aesthetic Movement was an influence for much of the custom furniture, while the brand’s signature leather headboard and gallery art are layered alongside patterned fabrics and trim. The glittering marble mosaic bathrooms utilize an off-access entry, which provides a twist to the typical hotel room layout.
