ABOUT

Based on decades of research of iconic and local food markets, the Tin Building is the coalescence of experience by Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten and his team. After a 1995 fire destroyed the original Fulton Fish Market, the Tin Building was built in its place, using many of the market’s original structural elements.

Spanning over 50,000 square feet of culinary destinations, including a world class seafood and produce market, cheese shop, raw bar, bakery, bistro, candy shop, sushi restaurant, vegan restaurant, Chinese restaurant, beer bar, pizza counter, and a retail shop filled with Jean Georges’ favorite products. Each venue was designed to stand alone, while sharing elements of fundamental design, material, and lighting that hold the market together.
